Who we are
Sitey ("Sitey", "we", "us") is a South African web services business operated from Cape Town, South Africa. Our Information Officer can be reached at hello@sitey.co.za.
What information we collect
- Name, email address, phone number (when you create an account)
- Business information (name, description, services, location)
- Payment information (processed by Paystack — we do not store card details)
- Website usage data (via PostHog, only with your consent)
- Contact form submissions
- Files you upload (logos, photos, stored on Cloudflare R2)
Why we collect it
- To build and manage your website
- To process payments and issue invoices
- To communicate with you about your order and site
- To improve our service (only with consent)
Who we share it with
We share data only with processors necessary to deliver the service:
- Paystack — payment processing (SA-based)
- Cloudflare — hosting and file storage
- Resend — transactional email
- Neon — database hosting
- PostHog — analytics (consent required)
We do not sell your data to third parties.
Your rights under POPIA
As a data subject under South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), you have the right to:
- Access your personal information
- Correct inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your information
- Object to processing
- Data portability
- Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator

Data retention
We retain your data while your account is active and for 90 days after cancellation. After account deletion, we remove all personal data within 30 days, except where required by law (e.g., financial records for 5 years per SARS requirements).

We use essential cookies to keep you logged in. Analytics cookies (PostHog) are only set after you provide consent via our cookie banner.
